Really liked this campground. The bathrooms/showers were in pristine shape (best I've ever seen at a state park) and the bank along the river is a really great place to set up a chair and chill out.

Absolutely beautiful campground. I highly recommend getting reservations for site 133, 134 or 101. Very quiet and well maintained campground. Amazing staff. Clean restrooms. Awesome location. I cannot think of anything more you could ask for in a campground!

Beautiful campground right on the river. Vaulted toilets and potable water available. Great launching spot for family day trips to the falls, Whitefish Point, Mackinac Island, Pictured Rocks, and beyond.

Beautiful. Sites are bigger than most campgrounds with a lot of space between. One of the few places we camped with showers. Right off the water. Nice clean park. Will be back.

We stayed for a week at the semi-modern campground, and it was a great experience. There are no showers or flush toilets at this campground, but it’s a short walk down the trail to the modern campground if you want to use their facilities. We made our reservations six weeks in advance and got the last campsite to match our schedule. I’m glad we chose the semi-modern campground instead of the modern campground. We ventured there to use the showers, and it seemed more crowded, noisy, and packed with kids. The semi-modern campground was very peaceful and much more relaxing. Surprisingly, the semi-modern campground was the only place within the entire state park and surrounding communities where we got a Verizon cell phone signal.
